MONDAY MOVES: ANNE YANG

Meet our May Monday moves spotlight, Anne Yang, an experienced copywriter with a natural talent for storytelling and creating out-of-the-box content for innovative marketing campaigns for various agencies, from Socially Powerful to Metter Media. When thinking of the next step in her career, she sought a role that would challenge her and give her creative freedom with projects.

What was important to you when thinking about your next career move?

When considering my next career move, I looked for opportunities that would challenge and develop me.  Having creative freedom and taking ownership of projects were important, as they would allow me to utilize my existing skills and grow new ones fully.  Beyond that, I wanted a supportive work environment.  A company that trusts its employees and provides space to thrive, rather than micromanaging, was key.  This collaborative approach would allow me to make a real impact and feel valued.

What was your experience like working with Monday? And was this your first time working with a recruiter?

This was my first time using a recruiter. I had only heard horror stories, so I was happy to have a positive experience.

What do you feel were the areas that Monday supported you the most in during the whole recruiting process?

Throughout the recruiting process, Monday truly impressed me. Their responsiveness to my emails ensured I always felt informed and valued.  Beyond just communication, they clearly understood the transferable skills I brought to the table. They weren't just filling a role; they were actively connecting my strengths to the specific needs of the employer and my long-term career goals. This insightful approach made a big difference in my overall experience.

What are you excited about in your new role?

I'm really excited about this new role! The chance to stretch my creative muscles and explore innovative ideas is what I was really looking for in my new career move.  I can't wait to tackle fresh challenges that will broaden my skillset and allow me to learn new things. Most of all, I'm thrilled about the opportunity to take ownership of projects, see them through from start to finish, and directly contribute to the organization's success. That kind of impact is incredibly motivating.
