Reflecting on her impressive career trajectory, Olivia shares the aspirations that guided her path to this significant professional milestone.

What was important to you when thinking about your next career move?

When thinking about my next career move, it was important that the company aligned with my values, skills, and the respect for social media as a crucial aspect of business strategy. I wanted to be somewhere that led with kindness. Having been in the social media space for over eight years, I’ve seen how small and interconnected this world can be. For me, stepping into a business that values and respects the power of social media was non-negotiable. I wanted to ensure social media wouldn’t be seen as an afterthought, and is important to the company strategy. Social media professionals face the challenge of not only proving their worth but also navigating roles where growth paths aren’t always clear. A company open to innovation and willing to embrace new approaches was essential. I wanted to join a business that didn’t just see me as a content executor but as a leader capable of impactful change.

Were you actively looking for a new opportunity before working with Monday?

Before working with Monday, I wasn’t actively looking for a new opportunity in the traditional sense, but I was reflecting on where I wanted to go next in my career. Social media requires a creative mindset, aside from that it’s important to advocate the value it brings to businesses. Having been in space for eight years, I’ve seen how much the role has evolved. I believe that social media professionals represent the next generation of CMO’s. However, the path to leadership is not always clearly defined; it's something many of us are still figuring out. Unlike more traditional career paths social media professionals often find themselves innovating their way forward, we tend to define our own success and have to constantly prove ourselves.

How was this experience different from past experiences?

Many times, recruiters or recruiting teams simply focus on filling a role, and as a candidate, you can end up feeling like just another number in their system. However, with Monday, and particularly working with Aziza, it felt like the process was truly centered around me and what I needed to succeed. What stood out most was how collaborative and attentive the process felt. Aziza didn’t just present me with an opportunity; she made sure it aligned with what I wanted in terms of growth, team dynamics, and leadership support. That level of engagement and advocacy made a huge difference and set this experience apart from past ones. It truly felt like I had a partner in the process who wanted to see me succeed as much as I did.

What do you feel were the areas that Monday supported you the most during the whole recruiting process?

Throughout the process, Aziza consistently demonstrated that she understood my priorities. I emphasized my desire for a role that allowed me to grow and make an impact. The importance of team dynamics also weighed heavily in my decision. Her advocacy and commitment to understanding my goals made the process a lot smoother.

What are you excited about in your new role?

I think what most excites me is the opportunity is the challenge to redefine how the business views and approaches social media. For a long time, social media in certain organizations has been undervalued, and roles like this were often limited to executing tasks without the freedom to think strategically or advocate for change. I’m excited to help the team rethink not only the importance of social but also how we define and evolve the Nasdaq brand.

What also excites me is the potential to build a collaborative environment. I've seen firsthand what can be achieved when you’re given the proper environment to create freely and be backed by a supportive team. I’m determined to prove the value of new approaches while still understanding what’s needed for success.
