Women’s History Month: Monday Moms

In honor of Women’s History Month, we wanted to take this opportunity to honor the women who made us, who inspire us and who helped shape us into the people we are today. We are overjoyed to introduce the moms and maternal figures of Monday Talent.

Meet Gracie and Romy

The First Lady and First Baby (well toddler) of Monday Talent. Gracie and Romy play an integral part in Monday Talent, keeping our CEO Jamie focused, motivated and always on his toes. Gracie knows a thing or two about PR - her last role being Global Director of Communications at Estée Lauder. Romy is less career-oriented currently- her interests include Disneyland, Disney Movies and her little brother Rafferty.

Meet KAREN

I was the kid who truly looked to their mother as a superSHEro-boss-lady! Seriously, I would play "office" and pretend to be my mother in a boardroom. As a single parent raising one child (with the personalities of five children) she always gave me space to be myself. Now that I'm much older I understand how important it was for me to be able to just-be-a-kid. Our home was the safest bubble of love.

As a business owner, traveling the world she worked hard day and night yet never missed a ballet recital, chorus or theatre performance, and unfortunately teacher-parent conferences (I really tried to hide those flyers). She always shows up for me even when I choose not to show up for myself. Karen is my confidant, biggest cheerleader, and on many occasions my only audience member.

When I think of my mother two words come to mind: Elegance and Class. It has been such an honor to grow with her and most importantly, to be able to call her family (my ace).

Meet Mary

Mary, otherwise known as Mez is one of a kind. She's a loving wife, dog mum to Bruce and Austin, and 3 children. When she's not cooking phenomenal food she's at pilates by the beach, brunch with her girlfriends, or attending to clients that need a new hairstyle. She's hysterical, optimistic, and loves a heavy poured glass of red!

Meet TIEMY

My mom is one of the most optimistic people I know and it inspires me every day. No matter what's going on in life, she always has a smile on her face and the most positive attitude. It constantly motivates me to be a better person & to look at every situation with the glass half full.

Meet Robyn, Sami, & Jordy

My mom and sisters are my biggest motivation because they are the strongest people I know. Day in and day out they continue to amaze me in everything that they do, regardless of what is put in front of them. They aren’t just my biggest motivation, they’re my best friends.

Meet Laura

My mom has been my role model truly all throughout my life. Small but mighty (standing at only 5'2") she practices what she preaches, always stands her ground, and goes above and beyond to stand up for what she believes in. Everything from an incredible skincare routine (SPF every day!) to giving 100% in all that I do, I owe to my mom. I am so grateful to have had such a strong and resilient woman to look up to throughout the years. Even at 30, I can still pick up the phone and call her for advice on anything and everything!

Meet Lizzy

Hate to be a cliché, but my mom is hands down my best friend. Not only is she amazing because she answers my 30 phone calls a day, but for many other reasons on top of that. She is the strongest, most resilient person I know and she makes every setting feel like home. She is the most selfless mom and an unmatched hostess. Whether it’s making sure there are snacks, flowers, or an Aperol Spritz, anytime you enter her home you feel so welcomed and loved. I’m not sure where I would be without her constant guidance and advice, but I sure am lucky to have such a strong woman always holding me up. My biggest goal in life is to be half of the mother and person she is one day. Love you forever, like you for always.

Meet Ronnie

Ronnie Lichtman is the woman who gave me everything - who taught me how to love, who taught me to fight for what’s right and my own rights, who showed me anything is possible, who powered through 48 hours of labor with me, who let me dress myself at 2 (holy sh**t did I have some outfits!), who chauffeured me to every gymnastics competition (even though I wasn’t very good), who dropped out of college to join the anti-war movement, who is developing the second ever midwifery doctoral program in the country, who has written three iconic books, who was influential in the consciousness raising movement and who has inspired so many students, colleagues, family and friends and who I am lucky enough to call mom.

As I’ve gotten older I’ve been able to pull back the daughter lens and see her not just as my mom, but as a woman, as a leader, and as a goddamn and absolute force of nature. Ronnie's commitment to justice and equality, passion for midwifery, dedication to inclusion and diversity, incredibly pure kindness and empathy and absolute selflessness all make me SO proud to call Ronnie Lichtman my best friend, my hero and most importantly, my MOM.

Meet Gilda

My mom inspires me everyday. Balancing a family and a full-time job, she always prioritized our family while also pushing me to follow my dreams and establish a strong career path for myself. Growing up, I didn’t make her job easy, but she was always my advocate and stood by my side through every struggle life threw my way. Her own mother was a strong, inspirational female figure in her life, and she's done the same for me, my brothers and my dad. Now I wouldn’t be able to stay sane without our daily phone calls and vent seshes!

Meet Jayne

My mom is the absolute best. There is truly no one like her. She is an energizer bunny who never gets tired and is always positive, upbeat and happy. She is my best friend and the sweetest, most loving soul. She always gives me a good laugh (most of the time unintentionally) and is my biggest cheerleader. We talk 5 times a day and I wouldn't have it any other way. LOVE YOU MOMMY!

Meet Helen

My mom has always been many things to me other than just being my mom. She's been my best friend, my unpaid/on-call therapist, my personal shopper, my biggest supporter, and the list goes on. We talk on the phone about 74x a day and I wouldn't have it any other way! She has always done everything in her power to ensure that my brother and I have had everything we needed and more, and always puts her family first. She is the epitome of what I strive to be everyday, and hope I can be 1/2 as good of a mom as she is one day - love you mama!! XO

Meet Michelle

Michelle Hanrahan, better known as Kris Jenner to me, has always been my rock and motivation. A former HR Recruiter for Morgan Stanley herself, she has always pushed me to do my best and take all opportunities that come my way… with our motto “everything happens for a reason” always in mind. Michelle is the definition of a badass woman and can light up any room with her witty personality, bright blue eyes, and beautiful smile. If you know me, you know Michelle!
