What fulfills you in your career?

What truly fulfills me in my career is the opportunity to create exceptional work that not only inspires and educates but also empowers people to excel in their endeavors. Knowing that my contributions can positively impact others, helping them grow and succeed, brings me immense satisfaction and a sense of purpose.

Did you experience any hurdles to get to where you are in your career today? If so, what were they?

Throughout my career journey, I have faced and overcome numerous hurdles that have tested my resilience. I encountered challenges rooted in racism, sexism, and disability bias, which could have easily deterred me. Nevertheless, I have embraced the power of adaptability, learning to pivot and persevere while continuously moving forward. These obstacles have taught me valuable lessons and shaped me into a stronger, more determined professional.

What brings you joy outside of work?

Outside of work, my greatest joy comes from spending quality time with my loved ones. I am blessed with an incredible and expansive family, a circle of wonderful friends, and a caring and supportive partner. Being a godmother to my cherished godson is a role that brings me immeasurable happiness. Building memories and sharing laughter with these special people in my life is truly priceless.

If passion projects paid the bills what would you choose to do for the rest of your life?

If passion projects paid the bills, I would dedicate my life to creating opportunities for the next generation of leaders who are often overlooked by society due to being different from what is perceived as “normal” would tirelessly work towards breaking down barriers and empowering individuals who deserve recognition and support on their journey to success.
