Monday Goes to Troutbeck
By: Olivia Rodriguez
Day One:
Stuff everything possible into my bag and make my trip from one side of the Hudson (NJ) to the other
Arrives at the hotel to see Franny and I have matching Yeezys (love it), all load onto the bus, and our trip begins!
DJ Miller holds the aux cord and plays some early 2000s hits for our 2+ hour trip to Troutbeck
After a ride full of fun, we arrive at Troutbeck. The wonderful Troutbeck team didn’t know this yet but we definitely became their most fun guests
All checked in and we were able to settle into our rooms and explore the grounds a but more
After some time to decompress, we got ready for cocktail hour in the library- the warmest coziest room we ever did see
Then we had a delicious three-course dinner to close out day one. We then went back to our beautiful rooms to prepare for a packed day two
Shout out to that incredible olive oil cake *heart eyes*
Day Two:
Some of us woke up early to workout (Jamie and Ruby) and some of us had room service breakfast- major shout out to the bacon
Settled into our new workspace to go through everything from brainstorming marketing initiatives to revamping our website to discussing our soon to be *dog-friendly* office and everything in between
Monday photoshoot begins!
Our incredible photographer, McGuire, traveled up to Troutbeck to document us in our Monday merch
We got allll the pics - content creation at its finest
After our photoshoot, many of us continued to hang out by the fire until it was time to get ready for cocktail hour
Cocktail hour consisted of cocktails, laughs, competitive Uno, a delicious charcuterie board, and did I mention, more cocktails?
Another 3-course dinner which was filled with delicious food, laughs, and very loud music
Everyone was DJ so there was a lot of dancing, TikTok making, and singing until it was absolutely time for us to all go to bed (by singing I mean using a butter knife as a microphone and belting out "You Got The Love" as a group
Day Three:
Explored Troutbeck grounds with Rubes since there was a light dusting of snow - perfect for upstate new york around the holidays!
We all had breakfast together and then GASP - covid exposure (not by the TB team). To be our absolute safest and to not potentially expose any of the Troutbeck members and guests, we isolated ourselves to our rooms and cut our trip short
Luckily, none of us ended up testing positive but we had to take the proper precautions to ensure others were safe as well
Though day three didn’t happen the way we had hoped, we had the most incredible time bonding with our team whom we don’t see often (WFH life), and getting out of the city after a few days
Can’t wait for our next one!
