MONDAY Moves: Jeiran Otmishi, CEO OF HEALOGIX

Meet our November Monday Moves spotlight, Jeiran Otmishi, the driving force behind Healogix and a testament to the power of ambition and the right opportunities. Below we uncover Jeiran’s journey to becoming CEO.

You said you weren’t actively looking, but were there things you were thinking about for your next career move?

I found myself at a juncture where I was pondering my next step after three decades in healthcare. After having held positions in big pharma companies like Pfizer and Sanofi and large holding companies such as Publicis and Havas, I wanted something different. Unsure whether to stay within the industry or explore adjacent fields, I established my consultancy to explore new possibilities. Jamie approached me at a point when I had been running my consultancy for 18 months yet felt a sense of isolation being a solo person consultancy. His proposition about a healthcare market research organization intrigued me. The math major in me has always been obsessed with data. Jamie’s perspective resonated with me when I was concerned that I was not specialized in market research. “You may be exactly the candidate that this company needs.” I met with two board members as a next step and felt an immediate connection. What I appreciated about Jamie’s partnership throughout the process was that while I continued to form a relationship with the two board members and started meeting with my direct team and the other board members, Jamie offered timely and constructive advice and infused himself where it made sense. At one point, he actually answered my call from a hospital while being treated for a broken shoulder from a bike accident. Four months later, I was appointed the CEO.

You said you have worked with larger recruitment agencies in the past; how would you say this experience with Monday differed from that?

The experience with Monday was highly personalized, allowing me to be candid about my strengths without feeling pressured to compensate for gaps based on how I perceived the role. Jamie seemed to recognize and appreciate what made me unique. The process felt authentic and honest from beginning to end. Despite being hired by the company, I felt Monday was on my side, genuinely invested in helping me find the right role. Jamie did not oversell the role but instilled confidence in me throughout the process, emphasizing my uniqueness and encouraging me to showcase it.

Our collaboration felt like a true partnership, something I hadn’t experienced with a recruiter before. Jamie’s ability to adapt and adjust his approach as the process evolved, allowing me to interact and negotiate directly with the company, was appreciated. We tag-teamed. I also admired his commitment to diverse talent; he found me and advocated for me to secure the role.

When you stepped into your new position, what were you most excited about in this new career?

The opportunity to lead a company through positive change is exhilarating. I think I am well suited for this position, and it feels like everything I have done in my career to date has led me to this role, and somehow, Jamie helped me identify that. Thank you, Jamie!
